Yes - and here's the honest explanation. Sand still lands on it (no forcefield, sorry). What's different is the tight microfibre weave: no loops for sand to get trapped in, so it sits on the surface and shakes clean with one flick. Even when wet. That's why you come home without sand in your car, your bag, or your washing machine. "Sand glided off the towel so easily."
Different to a fluffy cotton towel - and that's the point. It's soft and smooth with a flat matte finish that feels gentle on skin.
