Accessibility

Beach days are for everyone, and so is our store. We want every customer, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation or magnification, to be able to browse, choose a colourway and check out without barriers.

What we're working to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA across sandsociety.com.au. Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a box to tick, and we review the site regularly against these guidelines.

What's in place today

Descriptive text alternatives on our product images; properly labelled forms, buttons and controls; full keyboard navigation with a skip-to-content link; no restrictions on zooming or resizing text; clear headings and page structure for screen readers.

What we're improving

We're currently refining colour contrast in a few places (including sale pricing) and reviewing captions on product videos. If something on the site is hard to use, it matters to us and we'd like to know.
