About our picnic blankets

Each blanket is 180 x 150cm laid out and folds to 38 x 27 x 12cm at 1.17kg, so it can stay in the car for the next sunny afternoon. The fabric is recycled polyester. Biscuit is a terracotta and cream houndstooth that matches our Biscuit sand free beach towel, and Gingham is chocolate brown.

Picnic blanket or picnic mat: is there a difference?

Not really. Australians use both names, along with picnic rug, for something big and comfortable to sit on outdoors. Ours is padded underneath, which makes hard or bumpy ground much kinder to sit on.

Will it keep the damp out?

It's water-resistant, so a spilt drink wipes off and a dewy lawn is a comfortable place to sit.

How many people fit?

Four people sit comfortably, with space in the middle for the food.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash it cold, then air dry. Please don't tumble dry or iron it.

Can I take it to the beach?

Yes, it's comfortable on sand as well as grass. Bring one of our sand free beach towels for after the swim.
